Boating and some SHARKS!

Today we woke up and discovered that many of us would be braving the high seas on the Alabama. We usually board the boat from a dock, but this year we thought we would do things a little bit more haphazardly. We lifted ourselves into a small boat which carted groups of us to the side of Momma Boat, Alabama. Then we carefully lifted and tossed each other onto the poop deck.
Good news: we didn't break anyone! In fact, we had a peaceful adventure guided by the wind while we enjoyed some wraps made by our expert lunch-makers. Speaking of food-making, this week we welcomed our new camp cooks, Dan and Wallis! Here they are enjoying the Alabama with us today.
Thank you to the crew of the Alabama for being wonderful.

And thank you to Maggie for this awesome panorama!
Meanwhile, back at camp, many of us were working on art projects, preparing for the fourth of July parade (which will be on the fifth of July) and making signs for our evening activity - the Sharks baseball game!

Once we were all together again, good fortune seemed to find us over and over again. Jakob showed up (early!) with the coolest bike...

Hank appeared and stunned us all with his good looks...
And Beth, Carlos, Mike, and Claire appeared to help us prepare for the fifth of July parade! They were camera shy. At the game, we had a blast. Sam Wood won the raffle, and the rest of us won sausage, hot dogs, and hamburgers!

The Sharks probably lost, but we love them anyway and will assume they won, since we needed to run off into the sunset before the bottom of the ninth.

Love,
Camp
