Jabberwindy

Today was a blustery day in the neighborhood, but we thought it would be the perfect one to tote some sandwiches down to the beach and swim our butts off!
Down by the water, it was super windy! It was so windy that Mara used rocks to weigh down the corners of the towels her Mome Raths boys were using. We had a decision to make; Do we want to fly kites so badly that we will eat sand-in-our-wiches? Sully thought we might enjoy our lunch better back at camp, so we retreated to the big red bus and hit the road.
There would be many towels to clean, but Mara loves towels.
Back at camp, there were afternoon engagements we had been anticipating, so we were still in frabjous spirits.  For starters, Eliza showed up! She and Patty discussed Patty's morning appointment with a communication devices expert, which happened right here in the main cabin. She is now excited about the potential for using eye-gaze and head detection in order to use a computer more comfortably. Patty can't wait to explore this technology once she returns from camp, but she's living it up in the meantime.
She attended a pottery class taught by our special guest, Rose, that was a big hit!

Sam did some photography and caught up with his friends.

Meanwhile, Gus and Selby spent some time in the swing and telling jokes on the porch.

Ryno worked on his art...
And Pete worked on his strategy to win Color Wars 2014!

Before dinner, we headed down to the black top for the next battle in the war.

After the battle, we had an amazing shrimp pasta dish prepared by Chef Cynthia and Sierra. We all told stories.
We had some more Color Wars challenges, and HIT THE HAY!

We are excited for a pizza party and Studio Night tomorrow!

Love,
Camp
