What a Wicked Scawchah

Today was a wicked scawchah.

We kicked it off with some horseback riding, a water fight, and decorating camp for COLOR WARS!

Then we loaded up the bus and headed for the beach. We couldn't wait to get in the water.

We are currently being spoiled rotten by Chef Josh. He is new to Jabberwocky, and we are already in love. We've been enjoying different types of salad every day, complete with homemade dressings. Every meal has been a masterpiece and we are so thankful to have him with us!

Hello!

It's been a fantastic couple of days here. Yesterday, we went sailing on the Alabama. The scholars among us enjoyed a writing workshop. After some poetry and sun, we had a big cookout and drumming at State Beach.

Our new camp photographer, Sam Stoddard got some great shots!

This morning, we kicked off the Color Wars! Judges Mike and Kaitlin will be awarding points for frabjousness over the next few days. On Saturday, we will have a winning team! Just like The Hunger Games. Here are some of Kelsey's photos from today!

So the Superbowl game is over.  Thanks for voting in my little poll.

To the one Giants fan who voted and predicted a victory - congratulations.
To the one person who predicted a nail-biter either way - you were so right!
To the one person who couldn't care less - did you get to at least watch Madonna?
And to the 6 Patriots enthusiasts who voted (including myself) - next year... next year is our year!

What's next?

Valentine's Day is coming up...  :)  go vote in the new poll...

And so is February vacation for anyone in High School or younger.

Updates

Hi all

A lot of people have been asking, so i figured this would be the easiest way to answer.  Sorry if this seems impersonal:

1.  No, there is no news yet on the memorial service for Hellcat.  I do not know of any dates or times.  The next Board meeting is in March - hopefully they will have something more definite ironed out by then.  I will let you know details as I know them.

2. No, there is no change in any information about Jonah.  The last I heard, he passed in his sleep.  It's difficult to understand, I know.  But sometimes we're not meant to understand, I guess... It's a very sad situation, but i just keep trying to remind myself that he is happy and out of pain....

Hug the people that you love a little tighter today.  It's important.
