Mini Golf Adventure

Last night, we rolled up to Island Cove - a great mini golf course that also doubles as an obstacle course for wheelchairs and the like. But did any of the Jabberwockians blink at the challenge? No! In fact, quite the opposite - we rolled over [mini] hills and valleys, traversed under waterfalls, and over the rocky terrain that stood between us and the hole. It made for one of the more exciting and fun adventures of the summer thus far.

Welcome [Back] to Jabberwocky!

After only 11 months of waiting, the day has finally arrived. What’s that? No, not the first day of summer – that’s come and passed. But something much, much more exciting: the first day of Camp Jabberwocky in 2010!!!

After meeting in Woods Hole, 32 excited campe1rs braved the voyage across the sea toward their second family and home on Martha’s Vineyard. As always, the counselors offered quite the warm welcome.

Keep checking the blog for video updates – we’re gonna try to post as often as possible to keep you guys updated with how much fun we’re having.

Dancing, Drumming, and S'mores-ing

After all the chaos of the first day of camp, every one was ready to get into the groove of the Jabberwocky spirit with our favorite tradition-drumming at the beach! Courtesy of the ever-popular island legend Rick "Bausman" Bausman and his band of merry drummers, we all put our dancing shoes on and danced the night away...with the occasional Smore break every here and there.

For our friend and brother, Graham.

Emily Ball

A Message from Kaitlin:

Hey Guys-

I've been talking with Emily Ball's mom, who tells me that Emily has been sick and was in the hospital for a few nights. No one is quite sure on the details of what's been going on with our friend, but her tests came back and they are releasing her from the hospital tonight. Let's show Emily some Jabberwocky love and send well wishes and cards her way. PLEASE-no plants or flowers- Emily's white cell count is too low for them. Thanks guys!!

Here's Emily's address:
